A VEGAN SMALL TOWN GIRL AROUND THE WORLD.

Traveling solo can give you a life-changing experience that allows you to discover a lot about your personality and develop a sense of individuality in a person. We all are working every single day and sometimes you just feel exhausted from everything, so instead of thinking about how bad our day is, one can always travel solo. The usual monotonous life makes us forget sometimes, how to live!

Just drop everything as the pandemic has allowed all of us to work and travel. Of course, one needs to check their savings for a budget-friendly trip. The best way to travel twice a year is that you can save for 3 months and travel for 10 days. Traveling provides a lot of inspiration and allows you to relax as well as explore new places, meet a different kind of people, experience variety of culture and cuisine and learn about the self.

TREKKING

Recently I visited South Goa and let me tell you it is beautiful. If you are planning a trip at the last moment and need a budget-friendly atmosphere, then Goa is the perfect place to explore. North Goa is filled with commercial pubs, more crowds, and extraordinary beaches, whereas South gives you a peaceful experience as it is full of flora and fauna. I started my journey from Jamshedpur, booked my tickets for a train to Pune as it costs you much less than the last moment flight and from Pune, you can take a sleeper bus. As soon as I reached Pune, I booked a hostel in Koregaon with 6 dormitory beds that will cost you around 300 rupees per day along with the breakfast. And from there I took a cab to the bus stand. During the daytime, you can use local transport but during the night if you are traveling solo, take a cab!

A bus is a very convenient option if you are traveling from Pune or Bangalore to Goa. It is cheap and it’s an overnight journey. The next morning, I was in Goa, I was going to stay there for ten days so I already booked my train tickets and a place to stay in Agonda, South Goa.

Goa offers you a variety of adventures and amazing Goan cuisine. As soon as I reached Panjim, I decided that instead of taking a cab, it’s better to take a local bus which hardly costs you around 35 rupees to reach Cancona and from there you can rent an auto for just 300 rupees. You can book a hostel or huts next to the beach which gives you the accessibility to go do your early morning exercises next to the shore. My stay along with the delicious breakfast for a week came to the cost of around 5000 rupees and everything else was sorted. The Secret Garden was the place where I was accommodated and it was a comfortable pet-friendly bamboo hut.

Mesmerizing Beaches

You can always go for treks to the nearby beaches, enjoy the forest, walk along with the crickets and take a boat ride to backwaters. One of the best things about Goa is that if you are traveling solo, you will always feel safe and the local people make you feel at home. My evenings were mostly filled with fifteen dogs following and at night I enjoyed the musical nature and a white cat. If you are looking for some adventure then you can go kayaking, take a scooter and ride it along with the town or trek down to Khola or Butterfly beach. For the people who love fish, you will enjoy some local Goan cuisine. I enjoyed the kind of people I interacted with, the food that was produced locally, and the company of nature.

Traveling is the kind of love that awakens self-awareness and allows you to be mindful. And especially when you are traveling solo, you get to learn about your abilities and there is no one to disturb. Whenever you feel you can’t handle life, just take a break and travel to some unexplored destinations because nature teaches you at every step.
