Pirate gets unique punishment

Jakub F, a Czech man, was found guilty of pirating software. A group of companies including Microsoft, HBO, Twentieth Century Fox, and Sony Fox decided on a unique punishment to avoid a civil suit and a potentially massive fine. Jakub must help to produce a film on anti-piracy and ensure that it is viewed by 200,000 people within 1 month.

Jakub apologizes in this film for his piracy activities and explains that he never thought he was doing something wrong. He was not even in it for making money. He was simply uploading pirated copies of software on file-sharing sites.

The biggest surprise – the video on YouTube has got 400,000 views within 4 days easily surpassing the 200,000 requirements to avoid fines.
