I am here with my review of the movie ‘Shershaah’, an Indian-Hindi language biographical war film directed by Vishnuwardhan and written by Sandeep Srivastava. lt follows the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra.
To begin with, let me tell you that the REALISM of ‘Shershaah’ makes it one of the best movies of the year 2021.The film stars Siddharth Malhotra as Vikram Batra and Kiara Advani as his girlfriend Dimple Cheema showcased their talent in the most realistic way without any exaggeration. The picturization of the film is very natural, starting from the very early life of Vikram Batra to his last day at the Kargil battlefield. The wars in the movie are showcased at the original spots which add the realistic essence to the movie.
How can the dialogues be skipped?? Let me tell you the dialogues have been delivered without any artificiality and in an astounding manner by the actors. The famous dialogue of Captain Vikram Batra,”Ye dil maange more” has been uttered in a manner by the reel Vikram Batra, Siddharth Malhotra, which leaves the viewers awestruck and flabbergasted. In addition to this, the movie also doesn’t drift from the real life scenario of Vikram Batra and Dimple Cheema, as some movies do for the sake of commercialisation. So yes, it is actually a worth-watching film.
Oh wait! It does not end here!! Now presenting the melodious part of the movie: The songs; soothing to hear, euphonious sound, beautiful tone and of course an amazing composition. At times, you might have noticed that people do judge a movie on the basis of the songs it includes. Interestingly, Shershaah stands exceptional there too. Last but not the least; movies generally leave an impact on the audience and the spectators. Shershaah, being a war film imparts a feeling of patriotism among the viewers. As it is said that love for the Nation should be an innate and deep rooted quality among all the citizens of the country, therefore, Shershaah instils a patriotic essence among the viewers, which I think, makes it way more special.
