Felicitation Ceremony organised at DPS Bokaro

137 students awarded for their meritorious performance

Be curious and Courageous to lead the future – Amarendu Prakash (Director Incharge, Bokaro Steel Plant)

Bokaro: To acknowledge the academic excellence of the students, DPS Bokaro organised a Felicitation Ceremony today. The zeal, exuberance and vibrancy were palpable as 137 students were awarded with certificates and trophies for meritorious performance in AISSE and AISSCE in the academic session 2021-22 which included 84 students who secured a perfect 100 in various subjects.

Mr. Amarendu Prakash, Director-in-charge, Bokaro Steel Plant was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mr. Sanjay Kumar, ED (P&A) and Pro Vice Chairman, Managing Committee, DPS Bokaro graced the event as the Guest of Honour. The event witnessed the elegant presence of Mrs. Shaila Sinha.

The ceremony was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp followed by the welcome song and the school song. Students mesmerized the audience with their graceful dance performances on Dashavatar and Vijay-Stotra.

The second edition of ‘Zenith (2022-23)- the quarterly compendium of the school was released on the occasion. It bears testimony to the quality of the school and immortalizes its reputation as a leading educational institution. Koshish is an initiative to make women financially independent through the skills of embroidery, stitching, knitting and soft toy making. The 24th graduating batch of Koshish were also felicitated.

The welcome address was delivered by the Vice Head Boy, Apurv Anand while the vote of thanks was given by Vice Head Girl, Pragya Bhardwaj.

 The Chief Guest congratulated the school and the staff under the dynamic leadership of the Principal on the accomplishment. He said that DPS Bokaro has carved its niche on the educational map of India. He said that to be the future citizens and leaders of the world one must be curious to learn new skills and have the courage to take a stand.  He urged the students to be courageous as it helps to make a decision, to explore and to execute.

Addressing the gathering the Guest of Honour said, “It is a very competitive world ahead and in order to succeed one must consistently work towards achieving the goal.” Quoting Dr. Kalam he said that students should dream with their eyes open only then will they achieve success and can take the country to new heights.

Principal A. S. Gangwar said “It is very heartening to see the students giving their best in the journey that we take together as educators and learners.” He congratulated the honest efforts put in by the students for the exceptional results and wished them a bright future ahead.
