‘Wanderlust’

If you are just stressed and bored at home go for travelling for at least a week. It will freshen up your mind. You can explore new places meet different kinds of people and know about the variety of culture and cuisine.

Recently I visited Jabalpur and Bhedaghat. So, I started my journey from Ahmedabad. I took a train to Jabalpur, if you travel in train it will take around 15 hours to reach Jabalpur and if you travel by airplane it will just take 4 hours. Narmada River in a rocky basin surrounded by low hills and on one of the hills stands the Madan Mahal.

From the railway station there are regular City service buses that will take you to the Madan Mahal fort. It will just cost you rupees 30 and will take around 10 to 15 minutes. Speaking historically, it was in 1116 when the gond ruler, Raja Madan Shah constructed this fort. There is a watchtower that is still found in the fort and it was mainly used to watch out for enemies. I went up till the watchtower and from there I could get a panoramic view of the entire city!!. The scene was simply gorgeous. There are also some museums and war memorial in the fort. Visiting this fort will be a wonderful experience, especially for the historophiles. Located on the way to the fort are the balancing rocks that are a sheer geological marvel in a true sense.

Geological Marvel

From there I went to Bhedaghat. There I stayed in MPT marble rocks hotel. During sunset, I went for boating in the Narmada River. In Bhedaghat high marble rocks make a valley through which the Narmada River flows. It was magnificent scenery. The crystal clear water and the cool snow white marble rocks make the mind so joy cheery. There are some youths who just jump from the marble rocks to give you entertainment, if you give them some money. I myself saw that and it was the most skillful swimming i had ever seen a person do. After having an awesome boat ride, I went to Dhuandhar falls which are located on the Narmada River and are 30 m high. The river narrows down and then plunges in a waterfall. The plunge which creates a bouncing mass of mist is so powerful that its roar is heard from a far distance. And, the view was breathtaking. It looked like white milk was being churned. There are mists created around it which makes the place looked more charming. The place was pretty crowded as everyone wanted their photos clicked with the falls as a background.

Around the falls, there are various shops selling artifacts, marble statues, vases and many more things made from marble. You can even get your name inscribed in marble designs. You can always go for morning walks and enjoy the water sports. I enjoyed a lot travelling at these wonderful places.
