IN ORDER TO FIND YOURSELF, THINK FOR YOURSELF.

BE SELF-RELIANT

BY: ANANYA TIWARI

Self-reliance is a first step towards happiness and success. A self-reliant person is someone who always depends upon his own knowledge, energy, discipline, capacity to work, the resources and prudence. One can learn from the very beginning to be independent about the choices they make in life and develop the skill over the years. Therefore, a self-reliant person is a boss of his own life, where he is calm, composed, confident and self-possessed.

A self-reliant person is always self-assured, optimistic, making decisions, independent and flexible to take up responsibility for their actions. They can find out solutions to the problems as they know how to deal with an uncalled situation. When one start self-belief – ‘I CAN DO IT!’, one also begins with self-belief.

Independency do not allow you to blame fate or circumstances, instead it allows you to test your skills and concentrate for better results. Self-reliance is always seeking for better ideas, execution and tends to leave a noticeable impact on the result. They tend to leave a mark on every sector they go, spreading positivity all around the place. It teaches to be patient, have an accepting nature towards other’s opinion and making a calculative decision before coming to conclusion. You also create your own way of handling things and create a set of principles based on your experience.

There are few ways to which will lead you to the path of self-reliance:

  • Developing your skills: The first step towards the path of independency is to develop and work on the things you already know. It is important to constantly update your knowledge and learn the art of practice.
  • Individuality: It is important to know how to face the situation alone. There will be times when you will have no one beside and at that point you can’t stop the things you are doing or hold on to the decisions you’re suppose to make. Sometimes YOU are the only person YOU have.
  • Enhance your knowledge: Learning has nothing to do with age, in order to grow, one needs to learn. We as human beings are always curious to know things that are new to us and there is an unsatisfied hunger for knowledge. Pandemic has taught each one of us something or the other and everyone was seen learning something new. So, keep that thirst for knowledge alive and keep learning life.
  • Start making decisions: Start with little at a time, decide what you what to cook today or wear for an occasion, save money and spend on the things you need. Decision making begins at home with all the little things we do every day in life.
  • Leadership: Self-reliance is a great friend of Leadership. One needs to have command over things and situations, it also makes you aware about your skills to make things work for themselves. You should always be responsible for your own actions and know how to get things done on time.

Self-reliant person knows how to move ahead in life. There is one loyal route to success and satisfaction, that passes through self-reliance and self-help. They are born to lead their world and spread inspiration in the atmosphere. If we pledge to be not dependent upon others and do things on our own as far as possible, if we are ready to stand on our feet and not lean onto others shoulders, then we can lead tomorrow.

YOU CAN MOVE THE MOUNTAINS, IF YOU HAVE THE WILL-POWER.
