Bokaro : The excellence of DPS Bokaro found a new resonance in the National Defence Academy (NDA). The meritorious prodigy of the school, Jaydeep Ghosh has qualified for NDA (Mains) securing 211th position in the lot of 519 selected candidates. Jaydeep is the only candidate representing the state in the 149th NDA selection drive. A candidate of sound academic excellence securing 94.6% in AISSCE has projected the notions of “Dreams seen with eyes wide open do come true”. Principal A. S. Gangwar congratulated Jaydeep for his remarkable performance and success in one of the most prestigious exams. He has applied for Air Force and hopefully, his labour will enable him to join by January 2023 after completion of his training.
He mentioned that a dedicated study of 8 hours made him qualify for the written amongst 800000 candidates who appeared in the exam held in April 2022. From the 8000 written qualified candidates, he still had to go through interviews and various physical and medical examinations conducted under SSB. The day of joy served the news of his name being in the final merit list released by UPSC with other 518 selected candidates.
In an interview, Jaydeep accepted his inclination for the service to the nation and the official notification of the NDA examination in 2021 was the Clarion’s call destined to make him live his dreams. Dedicating his success in the NDA examination, he thanked DPS Bokaro faculty and Principal A. S. Gangwar for providing an atmosphere for holistic development for the students. Recalling his school days, Jaydeep confirms the importance of a slow but steady transformation in his personality which was all because of different literary contests, sports and cultural events at school.
